SAÉA'S PROCESS
At SAÉA, each design is a story of craftsmanship, cultural heritage, and sustainability. Every piece is thoughtfully created, blending founder Shezal's design vision with the artistry of skilled Pakistani artisans.
Shezal begins the design process by drawing inspiration from the natural beauty of stone, imagining forms that embrace simplicity, function, and timeless aesthetics. These designs embody the philosophy of organic minimalism, balancing clean lines with the unique irregularities of natural stone.
Our artisans then bring these designs to life using stones primarily sourced from Balochistan, a region with rich stone reserves. They begin with slicing large stone slabs into smaller pieces. Next, they shape each piece using grinders and hand chisels, transforming each raw slab into unique works of art. Lastly, Shezal adds a touch of foodgrade beeswax to add a protective coating to each piece.
What sets SAÉA apart is our commitment to creating truly natural designs. Unlike most stone pieces on the market today, our designs don't use artificial polish that is typically used to add shine since these often contain harmful toxins. Instead, SAÉA pieces embrace a matte finish, allowing the raw, natural beauty of the stone to surface without artificial chemical enhancements.
