Ivory, apricot, and sun-bleached clay—this hand-carved onyx tray captures the warmth of desert light layered into stone. Bands of soft cream, pale yellow, rose-beige, and russet brown wrap around its sculptural form like mineral striations shaped by time.
With a stepped-edge base and smooth, sloped interior, it functions as both decor and utility: perfect as a jewelry tray, candle base, perfume dish, or quiet object of stillness.
Each tray is carved from a single block of natural onyx by artisans in Balochistan and carefully finished in our San Diego studio. Designed to bring earth, elegance, and presence into your space.

SAÉA is a woman-of-color–owned design studio based in San Diego. We create slow-made home goods using natural stone and ancestral techniques. Inspired by wabi-sabi, we honor the quiet beauty of handmade things—imperfect, enduring, and full of soul.

Onyx is a natural stone, stunning but not bulletproof. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh detergents. Read more here.
Each piece is sealed with food-grade beeswax. Refresh every 6 to 12 months by warming a small amount of oil or wax into the surface, then buffing gently with a soft cloth.

Made with natural gemstones and gold-plated or gold-filled chains, SAÉA jewels are designed for everyday wear.
While our jewelry is water-resistant, prolonged water exposure is not recommended. To preserve its finish, avoid wearing in pools, hot tubs, saltwater, or during heavy sweating. Store dry when not in use.

Onyx forms in slow, mineral-rich pockets underground — layers laid down over thousands of years. Each slab is split once, then carved by hand, which is why no two pieces share the same ribboning.
We keep the walls thin so light passes through when the piece sits on a window ledge.
