Moonstone is feldspar built in thin layers, stacked as the stone cooled. Light enters, catches between those sheets, and returns as a drifting blue flash. Here a single trillion-cut rainbow moonstone is bezel-set in gold, its soft-cornered triangle carrying that cool blue up through a cloud-white body.
Hung from a fine gold snake chain, the stone shifts its flash as it turns at the collarbone. No two stones flash the same way, and the light inside this one is its own. The setting is made to a pattern; the stone is not. Put it on and that shift becomes yours.
