Red jasper is silica that took up iron as it hardened, and the iron is the whole reason the red is red. These nuggets keep the pitting and the pale mottling the stone formed with, polished but not corrected. This is a one of a kind. The only one.
Large barrel-cut jasper runs the length of the strand, spaced with branch chips in the same red and with granulated sterling beads that break the color at intervals. Hand-wired link by link, not strung on cord. It closes at the back on sterling.
At 15″ it sits as a true choker, high at the base of the throat, the weight of the stone settling where you feel it. Wear it against bare skin, alone, doing all the work. Store it flat and dry, away from other pieces. A dry cloth is the whole maintenance plan.
