Balochistan stone, older than the names we've put on it. Pale citrine, soft as early light, runs the body of this one — thin rust veins threading through like something the stone remembers. At the rim, the color goes dark. Burnt, almost. The carver didn't smooth it out. The mark stays because the stone earned it. Set it where the pale field can do its work, and let the dark edge be the one thing that pulls the eye. Each piece is sealed with food-grade beeswax. Refresh every 6 to 12 months by warming a small amount of oil or wax into the surface, then buffing gently with a soft cloth.
