one of one
Every piece is hand-carved from raw stone. Veining, color, translucency — no two are identical. The piece you receive is the only one of its kind.

Feldspar brings the salmon. Quartz runs through it in cloudy, translucent grey. Black tourmaline cuts across both in dark mineral seams. Three materials formed together, then cut from the same stone and hollowed into a bowl.
Nothing about the pattern repeats. One side is almost entirely feldspar, dense and rust-orange. Turn it and broad sections of quartz come forward, interrupted by black tourmaline. From above, all three meet inside the basin.
Set it on a shelf, coffee table, console or nightstand to add a cut of the earth to the room. Use it for rings, keys and small objects, or leave it empty. It holds its own.
One of a kind.
STRATA — Natural feldspar, quartz and black tourmaline from Madagascar, cut from stone and shaped into a catchall bowl.
VEIN — Salmon and rust feldspar, translucent smoke-grey quartz and black tourmaline running through the stone in irregular seams. Every face changes as the bowl turns. The photo guides you to the color; it isn't a contract.
WEIGHT — 1.5 lb
Feldspar is assigned in crystal practice to creativity and self-awareness. Black tourmaline is traditionally kept for grounding and protection, while quartz is often described as an amplifier and given to clarity.
The documented part is already enough. Feldspar and quartz are two of the most abundant mineral groups in Earth's continental crust, but they do not usually arrive looking like this. Here they formed alongside black tourmaline, leaving salmon, smoke and black locked together inside one mass of stone.
Madagascar.
The color is mineral, not added. Feldspar gives the stone its peach and rust tones. Quartz moves through it in translucent grey sections. Black tourmaline appears as the darkest seams and interruptions.
The rough stone was cut and hollowed into a functional form, but the composition was already there. No designer placed the black beside the orange or decided where the quartz should surface. We only revealed what the stone had made.
One piece. One mineral arrangement. It will not occur this way again.

Each piece begins as raw onyx in the mountains of Balochistan, hand-carved by artisans, then finished, photographed, and shipped from San DIego, California.
Every SAÉA Jewel is made to order in our San Diego studio.
Onyx forms in slow, mineral-rich pockets underground — layers laid down over thousands of years. Each slab is split once, then carved by hand, which is why no two pieces share the same ribboning.
We keep the walls thin so light passes through when the piece sits on a window ledge.

No two pieces alike. No factory finish. Just raw onyx, hand-carved by artisans in Balochistan and finished in our San Diego studio.
