one of one
Every piece is hand-carved from raw stone. Veining, color, translucency — no two are identical. The piece you receive is the only one of its kind.

ORIGINALLY $92. Mehrgarh-adjacent ground. Balochistan stone, older than the names we've put on it. This bowl was never going to be smooth all the way through. The rim stayed raw on purpose — left at the edge where the carver's hand stopped polishing and let the stone show what it actually is. Honey-brown striation, a vein of burgundy running the line, against a body worked down to bone. This is one of a kind and the exact piece you will receive.
Set it where small things land. The ring you take off at the door. The change from your pocket. The thing you don't want to lose track of, given a place heavy enough to keep it still.

STRATA · VEIN · WEIGHT
STRATA — Single-source Balochistan onyx, hand-carved, finished in San Diego.
VEIN — Burgundy through honey-brown at the raw rim, bone-white body. No two veins run the same — the photo is a guide to this piece's color, not a contract.
WEIGHT — 2 lbs of raw-edge onyx.
⸻
Gently imperfect — sale piece. This bowl carries a fine natural fissure on the body and small mineral inclusions near the rim. Imperfections, not flaws — they don't touch how it holds or how it looks. Priced down to reflect them.

Carved by hand from single-source Balochistan onyx. Sealed in food-grade beeswax — no resins, no dyes, no shortcuts that trade honesty for shine. Finished in San Diego. The raw rim is left exactly as the stone gave it.

Onyx forms in slow, mineral-rich pockets underground — layers laid down over thousands of years. Each slab is split once, then carved by hand, which is why no two pieces share the same ribboning.
We keep the walls thin so light passes through when the piece sits on a window ledge.

No two pieces alike. No factory finish. Just raw onyx, hand-carved by artisans in Balochistan and finished in our San Diego studio.
