Balochistan onyx doesn't run the same vein twice, and these three don't pretend to. Each bud vase below was carved from its own break in the stone: one runs citrine gold into a charred burn, one drops from a blackened rim into blush, one goes quiet, sand to slate to rust. Choose the vein that's yours.
What you see is the exact piece you'll receive. Once a colorway is chosen, that particular stone is gone.
STRATA · VEIN · WEIGHT
STRATA — Single-source Balochistan onyx, hand-carved, finished in San Diego. Each piece cut from its own break in the block.
VEIN — Sunset Rust: citrine gold deepening into a charred umber burn at the rim. Orange Blush: a charred rim opening into blush and coral through the lower body. Rainbow Clouds: sand-speckled cream giving way to slate-gray banding veined in rust. The photos guide you to color; they aren't a contract.
WEIGHT — Approx. 1.25 lb each.

- Sealed in beeswax. No resins, no dyes.
- Approx. 5" H × 3" diameter.
- Sold individually — one of each piece exists. Once a colorway sells, the block doesn't run that vein again.
- Wipe dry; keep out of standing water.

Carved by master hands on Mehrgarh-adjacent ground, among the oldest making-grounds on Earth. Finished in San Diego. The strata occurs once. Earth, unobscured.

Each piece is sealed with food-grade beeswax. Refresh every 6 to 12 months by warming a small amount of oil or wax into the surface, then buffing gently with a soft cloth.

Onyx forms in slow, mineral-rich pockets underground — layers laid down over thousands of years. Each slab is split once, then carved by hand, which is why no two pieces share the same ribboning.
We keep the walls thin so light passes through when the piece sits on a window ledge.
