We only made 100 pieces. Available for pre-order only to reserve your piece when it arrives. Marble older than the hands that shaped it. This is Calacatta Vagli. A near-white field runs the length of the tray, cool and pale, broken by rivers of deep green and charcoal that fold in from the corners and pool along the rim. No two cuts of this stone carry the same veining. The pattern on the piece you receive is its own. Set it where the day ends. Keys, a watch, the remote, a bottle of scent at the sink. The raised rim holds what you set down. The low plinth lifts the whole weight off the surface.
STRATA · VEIN · WEIGHT
STRATA — Natural Calacatta Vagli marble, quarried in the Apuan Alps of Tuscany. Cut and hollowed by hand, hand-finished.
VEIN — A near-white field crossed by deep green and charcoal veining, with faint violet where the seams run darkest. The photo guides you to the color; it isn't a contract.
WEIGHT — Solid marble on a plinth foot.

Cut from the Apuan Alps of Tuscany, marble ground worked since antiquity, among the oldest making-grounds in stone. Finished by hand. The strata occurs once. Earth, unobscured.

Each piece is sealed with food-grade beeswax. Refresh every 6 to 12 months by warming a small amount of oil or wax into the surface, then buffing gently with a soft cloth.

Onyx forms in slow, mineral-rich pockets underground — layers laid down over thousands of years. Each slab is split once, then carved by hand, which is why no two pieces share the same ribboning.
We keep the walls thin so light passes through when the piece sits on a window ledge.
