Red at the ear is a decision, so let it be the only one. These want a plain neckline and no necklace — bare shoulders, a black top, a white shirt worn open. The red is deep and brick rather than bright, which means it sits comfortably with rust, camel, olive and navy instead of fighting them, and goes sharp against black.

Wear them with hair back or tucked. The drop clears a collar but is long enough to swing, and the pearl above the bead catches light on the way down, so movement is part of the design. If you own one pair of colored earrings, this is the red that works in the most rooms.
