Jasper is silica that hardened into whatever it was lying in. Iron came with it, and the iron is why the red is red — brick through the body, deepening where the hematite pooled. Opaque all the way down. No light gets in. The color has to do all the work at the surface, and it does.
This tapered stone runs deep red across the face, darker at the edges, scattered with the near-black flecks the silica kept. Set in a bright silver bezel on a black leather cord, it falls at the sternum and warms against the skin. The stone is set the same way each time; the pattern across yours belongs to no other. Worn, you become the vein that runs different in the room.

FORM — A tapered cabochon, opaque brick red deepening to oxblood, mottled darker at the edges with a scatter of near-black flecks. One stone at center, nothing competing with it.
WEAR — 22" black leather cord with lobster clasp. Falls at the sternum. Wipe dry; keep the leather and stone from water and oils.
