Mother-of-pearl isn't carved. It's grown — laid down in thin sheets, one over the last, inside a shell that spent years doing nothing but that. Each oval here came from a different point in that process. None of them caught the light the same way twice. This is a one of a kind, vintage piece. The only one we have.

Ten ovals, each cut close to an inch, strung whole and joined by small oxidized-silver flowers — the kind of detail nobody adds to a piece unless they're not in a hurry. We didn't make this. We found it complete, and there's only the one.
It's heavy, it's slow, it's rare. That's how you know it's real. We don't restock pieces like this — there's nothing left to restock.

Wear it the way it was clearly built to be worn: alone, at the collarbone, doing all the work. Lay it flat when it's not on — the ovals are wide enough to want their own space. No water, no chemicals. A dry cloth is the whole maintenance plan.

We didn't grow this nacre and we didn't string these ovals. We found the piece whole, already finished by whoever made it and by however many years it's carried since. No replaced beads, no modern stand-ins, no restoration disguised as originality. What's here is what's original.
