Iron-rich quartz laid down in bands, compressed until light itself starts running along the grain — that's the gold streak that moves across the stone when it catches the light. This one is cut freeform, left with its own edges instead of forced into a shape, and hangs low on a fine gold chain, doing all the work alone. Each stone varies slightly from the next.
