STRATA — Single-source onyx from Balochistan, Pakistan, split once and carved by hand.
VEIN — Tobacco, caramel and dark brown across the lid and the body, banded like wood grain, with a burl swirl running the bulged front. A wine-red base, its corners banded cream and coral. Under the lid, a brown panel shot through with purple and a burst of orange and white. Caramel inside, clouded with cream. One of one.
WEIGHT — Stone where a box like this is usually wood. 2 lb.

DETAILS

• Raw onyx, sealed in food-grade beeswax, so it's as close to the earth as possible when you touch it. No resins, no dyes.

• One rectangular box with its fitted lid. Bombé sides on a stepped base, a small square stone knob, and a raised panel under the lid that sits inside the opening.

Each piece is sealed with food-grade beeswax. Refresh every 6 to 12 months by warming a small amount of oil or wax into the surface, then buffing gently with a soft cloth.

If a piece arrives damaged in transit, send photos of it as it came out of the box to hello@saeadesigns.com and we will refund or exchange it.
