The SAÉA Obsidian Teardrop Pendant Necklace pairs a polished natural obsidian drop — rich in deep brown and near-black tones — with a fluid gold snake chain that moves like water against the skin. Generous in scale (2 × 1 inch), the stone commands presence without effort. A minimal gold bail lets the obsidian speak for itself.
Wear it alone over a white linen shirt. Layer it over something silk. Either way, it lands.
THE STONE Natural obsidian, hand-selected for depth of color and polish. Each stone is one-of-a-kind — variations in tone, translucency, and surface are inherent to the material and part of what makes yours yours.
THE CHAIN 14K gold filled snake chain. Smooth, substantial, tarnish-resistant. Available in two lengths:

Onyx is a natural stone, stunning but not bulletproof. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh detergents. Read more here.
Each piece is sealed with food-grade beeswax. Refresh every 6 to 12 months by warming a small amount of oil or wax into the surface, then buffing gently with a soft cloth.

Made with natural gemstones and gold-plated or gold-filled chains, SAÉA jewels are designed for everyday wear.
While our jewelry is water-resistant, prolonged water exposure is not recommended. To preserve its finish, avoid wearing in pools, hot tubs, saltwater, or during heavy sweating. Store dry when not in use.

Onyx forms in slow, mineral-rich pockets underground — layers laid down over thousands of years. Each slab is split once, then carved by hand, which is why no two pieces share the same ribboning.
We keep the walls thin so light passes through when the piece sits on a window ledge.
