Amethyst is quartz turned violet in the ground, the color deepening where iron caught a long, slow light. Here a raw-cut block of it hangs under a concave disc of gold — clear purple against a pool of shine. Worn, it catches the light twice: once in the gold, once through the stone.
24k gold-filled over brass, so the gold is bonded thick, not sprayed on — and every pair is wrapped by hand, wire and all. The disc is cut to a pair; the amethyst never matches itself. No two run the same, and worn, you become the one that catches different. Keep them dry and off perfume; a soft cloth keeps the gold bright.
