Iron doesn't come up polished. Hematite is the heavy dark ore, the same iron that runs the ground under everything, cut here into cubes and given a mirror to the surface. This is a one of a kind. The only one.
Gunmetal cubes run the length of the strand, squared and faceted, catching light on their flat faces. Clear faceted crystal breaks the dark at intervals, bright against the metal. Closed on a small silver clasp. Strung once, by hand, before it reached us. No two pieces like this exist.
It sits close at the base of the collarbone, the weight of the hematite settling where you feel it. Wear it against bare skin, alone, doing all the work. Store it flat and dry, away from other pieces — iron doesn't like standing water. A dry cloth is the whole maintenance plan.
