One of one. Rare Amethyst. A pocket of gas trapped in cooling volcanic rock. Then silica-heavy water working its way in, laying grey-blue chalcedony down the walls in bands you can still count one by one. Whatever room was left in the middle grew teeth — quartz gone violet from iron, crystallizing inward until the cavity ran out of space. It sat closed like that until a single saw cut opened it. 

Set it where light rakes across the face. The banding reads first, cool and pale, and the purple keeps to the dark of the pocket until you're close to it. Heavy enough to hold down a stack of books, small enough for a desk. One of a kind. The exact piece you'll receive.

STRATA · VEIN · WEIGHT

STRATA — Natural amethyst geode. Chalcedony banding formed against the cavity wall, amethyst crystallized inward. Cut and polished on the open face; the rind and back left raw.
VEIN — Pale grey-blue bands ringing in to a deep violet crystal pocket, ochre and rust on the untouched rim. The photo guides you to the color; it isn't a contract.
WEIGHT — 2 lb.

Each piece is sealed with food-grade beeswax. Refresh every 6 to 12 months by warming a small amount of oil or wax into the surface, then buffing gently with a soft cloth.
