one of one
Every piece is hand-carved from raw stone. Veining, color, translucency — no two are identical. The piece you receive is the only one of its kind.

Set it on a shelf, a coffee table, console table, and more to add a cut of the earth to your space. Silica came into the cavity in pulses and left a record of each one. The bands read outward from the rim. Grey, then white, then a thin line of rust, then grey again. When the pulses stopped, quartz took the middle and grew points inward until they met in a smoky center. The geode was cut and opened. Nothing else was done to it.
Four inches, standing on its own. This is the quiet one. Grey and white and a little brown, which is exactly why it goes anywhere. One of a kind.
STRATA — Natural agate geode with a quartz crystal interior. Cut and opened. Nothing else worked.
VEIN — Grey and white banding with a thin rust line at the rim, clear quartz points across the cavity, a smoky grey center. The photo guides you to the color; it isn't a contract.
WEIGHT — 1.5 lb.
Agate is assigned in crystal practice to the root chakra and kept for grounding and steadiness. The clear quartz in the middle is called the master stone and given to the crown. We report the tradition; we don't claim it.
The documented part stands on its own. Agate takes its name from the Achates river in Sicily, where Theophrastus described it around 300 BC. It is hard enough and unreactive enough that chemists ground their reagents in agate mortars for centuries, and some still do.
Brazil. No hand shaped this. A gas bubble in cooling lava left a void, mineral-rich water found it, and silica lined the walls in pulses until quartz filled what remained. We cut it open and did nothing else, with no shortcut that trades honesty for shine. The strata occurs once. Earth, unobscured.

Onyx forms in slow, mineral-rich pockets underground — layers laid down over thousands of years. Each slab is split once, then carved by hand, which is why no two pieces share the same ribboning.
We keep the walls thin so light passes through when the piece sits on a window ledge.

No two pieces alike. No factory finish. Just raw onyx, hand-carved by artisans in Balochistan and finished in our San Diego studio.
