one of one
Every piece is hand-carved from raw stone. Veining, color, translucency — no two are identical. The piece you receive is the only one of its kind.

Mehrgarh-adjacent ground. Single-source Balochistan onyx, three pieces pulled from the same strata, carved into three different jobs for the room. If purchased individually, these SAÉA pieces are $280. Only one set available.

A trio doesn't match — it converses. The tall vase holds height. The low vessel holds weight. The bowl holds whatever the day leaves in your hands at the door. Set together, they read like a single thought broken into three parts: ivory veined gold, green banded in rust, honey rimmed in sienna. No two veins run the same — across three pieces, that's three different records of the same Earth.
⸻
Let the vase hold what's in season. Let the vessel hold its own weight, lid-less, on a shelf that can carry it. Let the bowl catch keys, rings, the things you empty your pockets of. Wipe with a dry cloth. Keep all three out of standing water. The stone does the rest.

STRATA · VEIN · WEIGHT
STRATA — Single-source Balochistan onyx, hand-carved, finished in San Diego. Three pieces, one source block lineage.
VEIN — Rare Ivory & Sienna Origin Vase, Sage green, rust & chocolate brown (vessel), Bone & Burgundy (bowl). No two veins run the same — these photos are a guide to color, not a contract.

Crafted Without Compromise
No resin. No dye. No shortcuts taken to speed the slow thing up. Each piece in this trio was carved from a single block, by hand, by carvers working ground their families have worked for generations. Three pieces, three records — none of them the same stone twice.

Our Story
سایہ — shade, shelter, protection. That's where the name comes from, and that's the job every piece is asked to do.
SAÉA works in single-source Balochistan onyx, hand-carved by master artisans and finished in San Diego. The cradle of craft, not a flag. The Earth offers the strata; we steward it into the room.
Rooted in intention. Made to keep.
SAÉA Stones
Onyx is a natural stone, stunning but not bulletproof. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh detergents. Read more here.
Each piece is sealed with food-grade beeswax. Refresh every 6 to 12 months by warming a small amount of oil or wax into the surface, then buffing gently with a soft cloth.
SAÉA Jewels
Made with natural gemstones and gold-plated or gold-filled chains, SAÉA jewels are designed for everyday wear.
While our jewelry is water-resistant, prolonged water exposure is not recommended. To preserve its finish, avoid wearing in pools, hot tubs, saltwater, or during heavy sweating. Store dry when not in use.
Free ground shipping on U.S. orders over $100. Hand-packed in San Diego using recyclable, plastic-free materials, usually shipped within 1-2 business days.
30-day returns on unused, undamaged pieces. Email us at hello@saeadesigns.com and we will send a return label.
SAÉA is a small design studio in San Diego, California.
Each piece begins as raw onyx in the mountains of Balochistan, hand-carved by artisans, then finished, photographed, and shipped from San DIego, California.
Every SAÉA Jewel is made to order in our San Diego studio.
Onyx forms in slow, mineral-rich pockets underground — layers laid down over thousands of years. Each slab is split once, then carved by hand, which is why no two pieces share the same ribboning.
We keep the walls thin so light passes through when the piece sits on a window ledge.

No two pieces alike. No factory finish. Just raw onyx, hand-carved by artisans in Balochistan and finished in our San Diego studio.
