Pale onyx, ivory running to honey, carved into a rounded cup that narrows at the lip. Rust veins crack across the stone, and with a tealight inside the whole wall glows amber. Three were cut from one block. The one you choose is the one that ships.

STRATA · VEIN · WEIGHT
STRATA — Single-source Balochistan onyx, split once, carved by hand.
VEIN — Three stones, each its own. Amber Arc: honey body, one rust vein arcing across the face. Rust Web: white-banded center netted in rust, a dark rust seam at the base. Rose Crescent: ivory body with a crescent of rose-brown banding low on one side.
WEIGHT — Heavier in the hand than a ceramic cup its size. Solid onyx, walls thin enough to pass light.

Onyx is a natural stone, stunning but not bulletproof. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh detergents. Read more here.
Each piece is sealed with food-grade beeswax. Refresh every 6 to 12 months by warming a small amount of oil or wax into the surface, then buffing gently with a soft cloth.

Onyx forms in slow, mineral-rich pockets underground — layers laid down over thousands of years. Each slab is split once, then carved by hand, which is why no two pieces share the same ribboning.
We keep the walls thin so light passes through when the piece sits on a window ledge.
