the finer details
A lavender-gray face, smooth and almost clouded, held on one side by a rust-red rind left exactly as it broke. The base is cut flat, so it stands where it is set, without a stand or a plate. This is the one you get.
The polished face and the raw rind are the same stone, two inches apart. That is the whole argument for not polishing the edge.

STRATA — Natural agate, cut with a flat base and polished across the face; the rust rind left raw.
VEIN — Lavender-gray clouding across the face, a faint ring toward the center, a rust-red crust down one side.

Each piece is sealed with food-grade beeswax. Refresh every 6 to 12 months by warming a small amount of oil or wax into the surface, then buffing gently with a soft cloth.

Onyx forms in slow, mineral-rich pockets underground — layers laid down over thousands of years. Each slab is split once, then carved by hand, which is why no two pieces share the same ribboning.
We keep the walls thin so light passes through when the piece sits on a window ledge.
