one of one
Every piece is hand-carved from raw stone. Veining, color, translucency — no two are identical. The piece you receive is the only one of its kind.

This block runs differently than the last. Balochistan onyx pulled from a new break, three carvings, each carrying a different argument for the same stone: one holds sage-green marbling knotted through with rust and a single dark ember at its center. One runs a clean field of rust straight into sage banding on the front, then breaks into canyon-strata stripes on the back. One goes soft on the front, coral cloud drifting through cream, and hard on the back, plum breaking against a raw orange blot.
Choose the vein that's yours. What you see is the exact piece you'll receive, and once a colorway is chosen, that particular stone is gone.
STRATA — Single-source Balochistan onyx, hand-carved, finished in San Diego. Each piece cut from its own break in the block.
VEIN — Sage Ember: sage-green and cream marbling threaded with rust, a dark ember-black inclusion at center; the back quiets to a pale cream field with a single thin rust vein. Canyon Stripe: a solid rust field breaking into sage marbling on the front, resolving into banded canyon-strata stripes of sage, cream, rust, and umber on the back. Coral Cloud: soft coral drifting through cream on the front, deepening into plum banding broken by a raw orange blot on the back. The photos guide you to color; they aren't a contract.
WEIGHT — Approx. 1.25 lb each.

Onyx forms in slow, mineral-rich pockets underground — layers laid down over thousands of years. Each slab is split once, then carved by hand, which is why no two pieces share the same ribboning.
We keep the walls thin so light passes through when the piece sits on a window ledge.

A nice and heavy piece. It was packaged well and arrived without damage. Great customer service, too. She went above and beyond to find the name of the scent on the dried flowers.
