A green older than any word for green. This is Balochistan onyx gone celadon and sage, banded in soft vertical grain, translucent where the light stands behind it. A single rust ridge runs the belly like a range seen from a distance — jagged where the iron caught, feathering out to nothing at both ends. The stone is rounded full at the middle, drawn in at the mouth, the one shape that had to be coaxed out of a heavy block. One of a kind. The exact piece you'll receive.
Stand a single stem in it, or brushes and pens on a desk, or leave it bare and let the ridge do the work. Wipe dry; keep it out of standing water.

Each piece is sealed with food-grade beeswax. Refresh every 6 to 12 months by warming a small amount of oil or wax into the surface, then buffing gently with a soft cloth.

Onyx forms in slow, mineral-rich pockets underground — layers laid down over thousands of years. Each slab is split once, then carved by hand, which is why no two pieces share the same ribboning.
We keep the walls thin so light passes through when the piece sits on a window ledge.
