the finer details
An ash-gray face, clouded rather than banded, with a rust-crusted rind along one shoulder and a small crystal eye opening low and off center. Cut flat at the base so it stands. This is the one you get.
Set it where the light rakes across the face and the cloud in the stone starts to move.

STRATA — Natural agate, cut with a flat base and polished across the face; the rust rind left raw.
VEIN — Ash gray clouding across the whole face, a rust-orange crust along one shoulder, a small white-ringed crystal eye low and off center.
WEIGHT — Solid stone, no hollow. Enough weight to hold loose paper down on a desk. 1 lb

Each piece is sealed with food-grade beeswax. Refresh every 6 to 12 months by warming a small amount of oil or wax into the surface, then buffing gently with a soft cloth.

Onyx forms in slow, mineral-rich pockets underground — layers laid down over thousands of years. Each slab is split once, then carved by hand, which is why no two pieces share the same ribboning.
We keep the walls thin so light passes through when the piece sits on a window ledge.
