Some blocks of onyx come up dark. This one carries deep burgundy and rust marbled through warm ochre, broken by pale cream where the stone thinned. The lid sits low and square, closed like it's holding something back, with a small amber-toned knob standing at its center. One of a kind. The exact piece you'll receive.

Each piece is sealed with food-grade beeswax. Refresh every 6 to 12 months by warming a small amount of oil or wax into the surface, then buffing gently with a soft cloth.

Onyx forms in slow, mineral-rich pockets underground — layers laid down over thousands of years. Each slab is split once, then carved by hand, which is why no two pieces share the same ribboning.
We keep the walls thin so light passes through when the piece sits on a window ledge.
