one of one
Every piece is hand-carved from raw stone. Veining, color, translucency — no two are identical. The piece you receive is the only one of its kind.

Every bar cuts differently, so the pink-to-blue break sits somewhere new on each one.
Keep away from water, perfume, lotion and oils. Store in a soft pouch to preserve the oxidation.
SAÉA Stones
Onyx is a natural stone, stunning but not bulletproof. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh detergents. Read more here.
Each piece is sealed with food-grade beeswax. Refresh every 6 to 12 months by warming a small amount of oil or wax into the surface, then buffing gently with a soft cloth.
Free ground shipping on U.S. orders over $100. Hand-packed in San Diego using recyclable, plastic-free materials, usually shipped within 1-2 business days.
30-day returns on unused, undamaged pieces. Email us at hello@saeadesigns.com and we will send a return label.
If a piece arrives damaged in transit, send photos of it as it came out of the box to hello@saeadesigns.com and we will refund or exchange it.
SAÉA is a small design studio in San Diego, California.
Each piece begins as raw onyx in the mountains of Balochistan, hand-carved by artisans, then finished, photographed, and shipped from San DIego, California.
Every SAÉA Jewel is made to order in our San Diego studio.

the crate
Every two weeks we open a crate and photograph the next batch. Everyone on the list sees them first.
Onyx forms in slow, mineral-rich pockets underground — layers laid down over thousands of years. Each slab is split once, then carved by hand, which is why no two pieces share the same ribboning.
We keep the walls thin so light passes through when the piece sits on a window ledge.

No two pieces alike. No factory finish. Just raw onyx, hand-carved by artisans in Balochistan and finished in our San Diego studio.

100% natural stone, sourced small-batch from the mountains of Balochistan. Never composite, never resin-cast, never synthetic.
Carved by skilled artisans in Balochistan using techniques passed down for generations. We pay fair, transparent wages — never piecework rates.
