one of one
Every piece is hand-carved from raw stone. Veining, color, translucency — no two are identical. The piece you receive is the only one of its kind.

Natural carnelian agate, no dye — deep red-brown running to near-black at the core, ringed by a clean band of milk-white and pale blue where the chalcedony crystallized. The shape is irregular, the outer rind left rough and pink-grey against the polished face. A catchall by the door, a tray for what leaves your pockets. One of a kind, the exact piece you'll receive.
STRATA — Natural carnelian agate, cut from the nodule and polished to a glassed face, the outer rind left raw.
VEIN — Red-brown body darkening at the core, ringed in milk-white and pale blue. No two agates band the same; this is the exact piece you'll receive. The photo guides you to color and pattern — it isn't a contract.
WEIGHT — A hand-weight slice; measured per piece.
One object, many rooms:
Agate forms slow — mineral-rich water laying down band over band inside a volcanic pocket, ages at a time, until the cavity closed. What you hold is that record, cut across. The strata occurs once. Earth, unobscured.

Onyx forms in slow, mineral-rich pockets underground — layers laid down over thousands of years. Each slab is split once, then carved by hand, which is why no two pieces share the same ribboning.
We keep the walls thin so light passes through when the piece sits on a window ledge.

No two pieces alike. No factory finish. Just raw onyx, hand-carved by artisans in Balochistan and finished in our San Diego studio.
