Across the lid a soft ivory-white field, and through it a run of clear golden-yellow — veins the color of honey held to a candle, warm where they surface, translucent where the white thins. Turn it toward the window and the yellow lifts, lit from within. The body keeps the palest ground, quiet ivory banded with a single honey seam and a fleck of rust low on the base. A squared white knob crowns the lid, cut from the clearest run of the block. One of a kind; this is the only piece we made that looks like this. The exact piece you'll receive.

A lidded box for the surface that gathers small things — rings at the sink, a watch, what leaves your hands at the door. Lift the knob, set the day down, close it. Wipe with a dry cloth. Keep it out of standing water.
