STRATA · VEIN · WEIGHT
STRATA — Natural banded agate, cut from the nodule and polished to a glassed face, the outer rim left raw. Made in Brazil.
VEIN — Orchid-to-plum banding, a dark rim, a thin druzy sliver at center. No two agates band the same; this is the exact piece you'll receive. The photo guides you to color and pattern — it isn't a contract.
WEIGHT — A hand-weight slice; measured per piece.

- Natural agate slice, polished face with a small raw druzy center
- Color-enhanced: the banding is natural, the hue is dyed — standard for decorative agate
- Dimensions added per piece
- Wipe dry. Keep out of standing water. Not intended for food service. One of a kind; each varies slightly from the next.

ORIGIN
Agate forms slow — mineral-rich water laying down band over band inside a volcanic pocket, ages at a time, until the cavity closed. What you hold is that record, cut across. The strata occurs once. Earth, unobscured.

Onyx is a natural stone, stunning but not bulletproof. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh detergents. Read more here.
Each piece is sealed with food-grade beeswax. Refresh every 6 to 12 months by warming a small amount of oil or wax into the surface, then buffing gently with a soft cloth.
Free ground shipping on U.S. orders over $100. Hand-packed in San Diego using recyclable, plastic-free materials, usually shipped within 1-2 business days.
30-day returns on unused, undamaged pieces. Email us at hello@saeadesigns.com and we will send a return label.
If a piece arrives damaged in transit, send photos of it as it came out of the box to hello@saeadesigns.com and we will refund or exchange it.

Onyx forms in slow, mineral-rich pockets underground — layers laid down over thousands of years. Each slab is split once, then carved by hand, which is why no two pieces share the same ribboning.
We keep the walls thin so light passes through when the piece sits on a window ledge.
